The T-Bones' History

In the summer of that year, following in the footsteps of The Yardbirds, The T-Bones made their first appearance at the famous Marquee Club in Wardour Street, London, billed as "The T-Bones Invasion".

The Friday night residency appearances of The T-Bones at the Marquee, supported by Jimmy James and the Vagabonds, among others, were riotous nights, performing to sell-out crowds and frequently ending the evenings with a conga line that snaked round the club, often joined by band members!  Great nights!

The T-Bones were also put together with American blues giants Sonny Boy Williamson, Howlin' Wolf and Mose Allison, touring the UK Blues clubs and appearing on TV shows such as Ready Steady Go and Discs a Go-Go.

In August of that year, they appeared at the National Jazz and Blues Festival at Richmond alongside The Rolling Stones, Memphis Slim, The Yardbirds, Manfred Mann, Long John Baldry and the Graham Bond Organisation.
