Three local Sussex groups appearing Saturday night at a Teen Scene beat festival - The Peasants and the Web from Brighton, and the DJ Blues Band from Crawley, with Brighton group The Extremes appearing on Sunday.

The Downs

Sunday appearance by chart topping band Manfred Mann, plus ad for Tony Jackson and the Vibrations the following week. The Vibrations included ex-Giants drummer Paul Francis.

The Deanland Wood Club

Lewes group The Shades appearing on Wednesday.

The Starlight Rooms

Throughout the majority of 1965 the Saturday night and Sunday night spots at the Starlight Rooms were held by two of the South Coast’s professional bands - The Untamed from Worthing and the Tony Grant Group from Brighton.
